Round Lake
Round Lake, located in the northeast area of the Park, is recognized by its dramatic fountain and backdrop of bald cypress trees and their related "cypress knees" (pneumataphores), conse-shaped root-like extensions that grow above ground. The fountain was originally installed in 1916 and replaced in 2023 as part of a donor-funded Forest Park Forever restoration of Forest Park's east waterways. Many visitors enjoy coming here for a quiet moment with a book or a conversation with a friend.
